If you grew up in the Philippines, you already know Tongits. It's the game your lolo and lola played on Sunday afternoons, the one that starts after merienda and ends only when everyone's na talagang antok. Tongits has been a fixture of Filipino home life for generations — quick to pick up, endlessly strategic, and genuinely social in a way that most card games aren't.
At House Luck, we've brought that same experience online without stripping away what makes it special. When you play Tongits at House Luck, you're matched with real players from across the Philippines — from Luzon to Mindanao, from Metro Manila to the provinces — not against a computer algorithm. The banter, the tension of a close hand, and the satisfaction of a clean Tongits call are all here, just without the tsigarilyo smoke and the plastic monoblock chairs.
The platform supports multiple Tongits formats. The classic 3-player Tongits is available at every stake level, from casual ₱20 tables all the way to high-stakes rooms where serious players compete for thousands of pesos per hand. We also run Tongits War — the faster, head-to-head showdown format that's been exploding in popularity — and periodic Tongits tournaments where the prize pool is pooled from all buy-ins and paid out to the top finishers. Whether you have 10 minutes or two hours, there's a House Luck Tongits table that fits your session.
Every game at House Luck uses a certified shuffled deck — the digital equivalent of a fresh, unbiased shuffle every single hand. No card counting, no stacking, no way for anyone (including the platform) to know what's coming next. This is important in a skill game like Tongits where the card distribution dramatically affects decision-making. Players deserve to know the deal is clean, and at House Luck it always is.

The authentic Tongits experience. Draw, meld, and call — exactly how you played it at home. Multiple stake levels so you can start small and move up as your confidence grows.
Head-to-head Tongits War is the fastest, most intense format at House Luck. You versus one opponent — mano a mano. First to empty their hand or lowest count when the deck runs out wins the pot.
Weekly Tongits tournaments at House Luck bring together the best players from all over the Philippines. One buy-in covers all rounds — top 15% of finishers split the pooled prize, with the champion taking the biggest cut.
Whether you're a veteran or playing for the first time online, here's a quick rundown of how a Tongits session works at House Luck.
Register a free House Luck account in under 2 minutes, then deposit your preferred amount via GCash, Maya, or any major Philippine bank. Minimum deposit is ₱100.
Head to the Tongits lobby, choose your preferred format (Classic, War, or Tournament) and your stake level. Open tables are shown with available seat counts in real time.
In Classic, each of the 3 players is dealt 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. The remaining cards form the draw pile (stockpile) in the centre. The dealer gets 12 cards and draws first.
On your turn: draw from the pile or pick up the last discard, lay down any valid melds (sets of 3+ same rank, or sequences of 3+ same suit), and discard one card. Melds reduce your hand count — the goal is to get to zero.
You win by: (a) Tongits — emptying your hand completely; (b) calling a Fight when you believe you have the lowest card count and no one can challenge; or (c) lowest count when the draw pile runs out. Winnings go to your House Luck balance instantly.
Winnings credit to your House Luck account after each game. Withdraw to GCash or Maya at any time — transactions process in under 5 minutes.

Unlike pure luck games, Tongits rewards players who master meld decisions, timing, and opponent reading. Consistent winners at House Luck tend to be skilled, not just lucky.

Tongits is a skill game. Understanding the following principles will give you a real edge at the House Luck tables — whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out online.
The sooner you lay down melds, the sooner you reduce your hand count. In House Luck Classic, holding meld cards waiting for the "perfect" fourth card often costs you more than it gains. Three-card melds beat holding out in most situations.
Discards tell you a lot about what your opponents are building. If two players have discarded 7s, that card becomes safer for you to hold without fear of being Sapaw'd on an existing meld. Reading the discard pile is fundamental in any serious House Luck Tongits game.
Calling a Fight (challenging low count) at the right moment is a House Luck Tongits skill in itself. If you have a low unmelded count and both opponents have already laid several melds — but still have cards in hand — a well-timed Fight call can win you the pot even without going Tongits.
Face cards are worth 10 points each if you're caught holding them at game end. But discarding them too early can hand opponents Sapaw opportunities. The balance is: discard face cards that don't fit into any plausible meld by round 3 at the latest.
Even skilled Tongits players run into bad card runs. A good rule at House Luck is to never sit at a table with more than 20% of your session bankroll. If your buy-in is ₱500, your session fund should be at least ₱2,500 so you can handle variance without busting out early.
In House Luck Tongits tournaments, survival matters more than short-term pot maximisation. Avoid large pot confrontations early unless you have a near-certain win. Let aggressive players knock each other out while you accumulate a steady advantage.
